As a MongoDB Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our MongoDB databases. You will also assist in the planning and development of the databases, as well as troubleshooting any issues on behalf of the users. A foundational knowledge of Azure DevOps is desirable to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Database Management:

• Install, configure, and upgrade MongoDB databases.
• Monitor database performance and ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
• Perform database tuning and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate security measures.
• Perform regular backups and recovery procedures.
• Analyze and resolve database performance issues.
• Develop scripts for routine database tasks and automation of processes.
• Provide database support and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database queries
• Manage standalone as well as Replica and Shard environments.

2. Azure DevOps:

• Assist in the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate MongoDB with Azure DevOps tools and practices.
• Monitoring the pipelines and report if any issue arises.

3. Documentation:

• Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Document all changes and updates to databases.
