In your role as a Senior Clinical Data Specialist, you will lead the management and ongoing expansion of a high-quality repository of assessments, measurements, and metadata for use in the Faro products. As a senior member of the clinical data team, you will be responsible for defining and executing efficient data abstraction, acquisition, and validation processes to deliver high value to customers using data within Faro products. Keen attention to detail and precision for your work and others is critical for this role; you must have the ability and willingness to roll up your sleeves to do detailed work, and design processes to increase quality and efficiency over time.
This position is open to candidates living in California.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Faro biomedical library and contribute to formal processes and best practices to ensure data quality, data integrity, and adherence to data governance rules.
- Manage the data release schedule end-to-end, from stakeholder coordination to launch announcements.
- Contribute to the development of formal processes to enhance the quality of Faro products.
- Identify and incorporate data from public and private data sources, applying practical understanding and knowledge of clinical trial/healthcare data standards.
- Efficiently integrate data from various healthcare and clinical trial sources.
- Develop and adopt new tools and methodologies to assist with data collection.
- Perform routine audits on own work as well as others to ensure high data quality.
- Represent the Faro data team throughout client engagements; provide support to external teams by addressing any questions about data operations and Faro data.
- Provide input on Faro product business requirements from a data management perspective.
- Collaborate with appropriate project teams as needed to address customer feedback and stay abreast of any changes that could affect data integrations.
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience working with healthcare or clinical trials data and data standards (e.g., SDTM, LOINC, SNOMED, CPT, ICD10)
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in physical or life science, or statistics discipline
- Strong knowledge of clinical trials and drug development processes; pharmaceutical clinical trials experience is preferred
- Experience with SQL based languages and relational databases
- Ability to understand and communicate data requirements, preferences, and limitations
- Demonstrated track record of success with project management and working with clients and vendors to deliver according to contracts and plans
- Experience in a fast moving, growth-minded startup environment; comfortable with being flexible and adaptable as requirements change
- Excellent team player with demonstrated track record of success in a cross-functional team environment; consistent commitment to delivering on team goals with a shared sense of urgency

Salary
- Salary range for this position is $138,000 - $186,000 per year.
- Salary listed reflects the base salary only and does not include other elements of total compensation
- Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training
