What we are building

The Solution Engineering team at Domino are the hands-on people driving customers’ data-centric transformation by leveraging the power of the Domino platform. They are skilled in Kubernetes, Linux, and Cloud systems and dive into the heart of challenges to build optimal solutions that resonate with each customer's unique needs.

Starting with a deep understanding of Domino, Solution Engineers transition to hands-on implementation, enhancing deployments, and pushing boundaries to extract maximum value. They don't just present solutions; they build them, ensuring every deployment is optimized, integrated, and aligned with customer needs.

Direct engagement with customers is their day to day job. They're the problem solvers, constantly adapting and refining to create value. Whether it's integrating new solutions, optimizing developer workflows, or ensuring seamless data integration, Solution Engineers are at the frontline, ensuring every step of the customer journey brings success.

What your impact will be

In your first year, your impact will be:

  • Build custom solutions for customers that integrate with Domino to enhance the customer experience. The solutions built should be well documented, tested, and the rest of the PS team should be enabled on the solution
  • Collaborate with the larger Domino team to ensure that the customer's voice is being heard with regards to feature or bug prioritization as well as feedback on the platform
  • Create reproducible artifacts that address recurring client needs, enhancing efficiency and consistency in our delivery process. These artifacts should follow best practices, be tested in various scenarios, and have thorough documentation
  • Achieve mastery in at least two specific Domino components, such as Keycloak integration, DMM, DataSources, or Environment builds. This expertise should be demonstrated through successful project implementations, the creation of detailed guides, and readiness to provide consultation to both the team and customers. Aim to become the recognized "go-to" expert in these components within the organization
  • Dedicate time to consistently upgrade skills and knowledge. This includes training in areas such Cloud platforms, Kubernetes and Data Science. The newly acquired skills should not remain theoretical; they should be actively incorporated into client solutions, showcasing the ability to leverage knowledge for project outcomes
  • Regularly solicit feedback from customers regarding the quality, effectiveness, and relevance of solutions delivered. Use this feedback not only as a metric of personal success but also as a means to identify areas of improvement, ensuring that the solutions provided align perfectly with client needs and expectations
  • Lead customer training sessions on Domino platform. Ensure clarity and simplicity when explaining complex ideas, aiming for easy understanding regardless of the audience's tech background. Measure success through improved customer proficiency and positive feedback post-training
