To further enable the success of our customers and prospects, we are seeking a driven, experienced, and intellectually curious Technical Writer to develop high-quality documentation. The Technical Writer will join our Product Marketing squad, a key part of our Brand & Content team that owns Constructor’s positioning and messaging, contributes to our brand strategy, and assists with creating world-class educational content for prospects and customers.

As our first dedicated Technical Writer, you will own Constructor’s product documentation. In this role, you will communicate complex information clearly, concisely and accurately without relying on jargon. This will involve tasks such as writing conceptual overviews and procedures, updating and maintaining our knowledge base, and assisting our engineers with producing developer documentation. A strong candidate will be naturally curious, customer-obsessed, and driven to become an expert in the Search and Product Discovery space. The candidate will care deeply about developing helpful, engaging, and user-friendly content that supports our customers’ goals and delivers a consistent brand experience.

This role is inherently cross-functional, and will require you to build strong relationships with stakeholders across Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Marketing and Sales.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Establish a content strategy and process for our knowledge base and developer docs, informed by data and insights you’ve gathered across the business
  • Gather information from subject matter experts and translate complex concepts into simple, polished, and engaging product documentation
  • Create content that helps both business and technical users be successful, grounded in a strong grasp of the customer value proposition, use cases, and underlying technology
  • Routinely review various reports, analytics, and user research to continuously improve the documentation’s effectiveness and ensure it meets our audience’s needs
  • Collaborate with other writers on the content team to help define and improve writing styles, standards, and processes
